Train Walk Poop is looking for a Cleaner to help maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for both dogs and humans. This is not just a janitorial position. Cleanliness plays a huge role in dog safety, health, structure, and overall care. The work you do directly impacts the dogs, the team, and the customer experience every single day. We are looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, hardworking, and comfortable working around dogs in a fast-paced environment. At Train Walk Poop, every role matters. Even as a Cleaner, you will still go through our ESH (Emotional Support Human) growth system and have opportunities to learn more about dog handling, training, structure, and operations over time while maintaining your primary role as Cleaner. Your Role As a Cleaner, your primary responsibility is maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the facility while supporting daily operations.Daily Responsibilities Include:
Full cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility Puppy potty cleaning in the morning and afternoon Cleaning and organizing puzzle toys Completing the assigned cleaning task list for that specific day Completing one deep-clean or extra-cleaning task daily/weekly Maintaining lobby, training rooms, floors, kennels, and common areas Supporting overall cleanliness and odor control throughout the building Assisting with laundry, trash, dishes, and facility upkeep Inventory of supplies Assisting with jackpot mix and other treats Overtime, assist in dogs socialization and other dog care tasks Growth Opportunities While your primary function will be cleaning and facility support, all team members at Train Walk Poop are part of our structured ESH (Emotional Support Human) growth system. Employees who show reliability, initiative, leadership, and strong dog-handling skills may have opportunities to receive additional training and grow into more advanced operational or dog-training-related responsibilities over time. What We're Looking For Strong work ethic and reliability Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and energy levels Able to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision Attention to detail and pride in cleanliness Ability to follow structured task lists and routines Positive attitude and willingness to support the team Prior cleaning, kennel, daycare, or animal-care experience is a plus, but not required Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus What You'll Get Starting pay of $14/hour Dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance after 2 months Paid Time Off after 90 days Structured opportunities for growth within the company A team-focused environment that values accountability, teamwork, and professionalism Important Things to Know This is a physically demanding position. Expect to be on your feet most of the shift while lifting, scrubbing, mopping, bending, kneeling, carrying supplies, and working in a fast-paced environment around dogs. We operate 365 days a year to ensure our dogs receive the best care possible. While this role is primarily Monday-Friday, flexibility may occasionally be needed based on operational demands. All new hires must successfully complete a 2-week probationary period before being offered permanent employment.
