DMV Home Design is looking for a motivated, personable, and experienced Home Improvement Sales Estimator to join our growing team in Northern Virginia. We specialize in residential home improvement and remodeling projects, including flooring, kitchen renovations, bathroom renovations, and interior painting, with occasional commercial and tenant improvement projects. We are looking for a sales professional who can confidently communicate with potential customers, qualify leads, discuss their projects, schedule free estimates, visit job sites, prepare accurate estimates and proposals, and help turn leads into completed sales. Responsibilities
- Call and follow up with incoming leads and potential customers.
- Discuss the customer's project, needs, timeline, budget, and goals.
- Qualify leads and schedule free in-home or on-site estimates with qualified customers.
- Meet with homeowners and customers at their homes or job sites to review project requirements.
- Understand each customer's project needs, budget, style preferences, and scope of work.
- Conduct site visits, take measurements, and gather accurate project information.
- Recommend appropriate products, materials, and services for flooring, kitchen, bathroom, and interior painting projects.
- Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and scopes of work.
- Calculate material quantities and assist with labor and installation estimates.
- Present estimates and pricing clearly and professionally.
- Follow up with leads and proposals and work to convert inquiries into sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, designers, property managers, and vendors.
- Coordinate with project managers, installers, subcontractors, warehouse, and office staff to help projects move smoothly.
- Assist with occasional commercial estimating and sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate customer, lead, and project information in the company CRM.
- Provide excellent customer service from the initial phone call through project completion. Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in home improvement sales and/or estimating is required.
- Experience selling or estimating projects involving flooring, kitchen renovations, bathroom renovations, and/or interior painting is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential remodeling and home improvement projects.
- Comfortable calling leads, discussing projects with potential customers, and scheduling appointments.
- Ability to visit job sites, take accurate measurements, and understand project requirements.
- Experience preparing estimates, proposals, and scopes of work.
- Comfortable discussing pricing, budgets, and project options with homeowners.
- Strong communication, customer service, and sales skills.
- Confident, personable, and comfortable meeting and working directly with homeowners.
- Strong organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally for appointments and job-site visits.
