The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property restoration, mitigation, and/or construction estimating and be comfortable preparing accurate, comprehensive estimates for insurance-related losses. This position requires experience estimating projects involving water, fire, mold remediation, and reconstruction/repairs . The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in industry estimating software, scope development, and insurance restoration practices. Responsibilities Prepare detailed estimates for water, fire, mold, and reconstruction projects. Utilize Xactimate and/or Symbility to create accurate and comprehensive estimates. Review project documentation, photos, sketches, drying logs, and field reports to develop appropriate scopes of work. Write mitigation estimates including water extraction, demolition, drying equipment, cleaning, antimicrobial application, containment, and other restoration services. Prepare reconstruction estimates for repairs including drywall, flooring, painting, framing, cabinetry, roofing, and other building components. Work closely with Project Managers, Production Teams, and Construction personnel to ensure estimates accurately reflect the scope of work performed. Review and revise estimates as necessary based on carrier feedback, supplements, or changes in scope. Identify opportunities for supplements and ensure all completed work is properly documented and billed. Communicate professionally with insurance adjusters, TPAs, customers, and internal team members. Maintain organized project files and ensure estimates are completed within required deadlines. Assist with resolving estimate discrepancies and scope disagreements when necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in property restoration, mitigation, reconstruction, construction estimating, or insurance restoration required. Proficiency in Xactimate and/or Symbility estimating software required.
Experience writing estimates for:
Water mitigation Fire and smoke restoration Mold remediation Reconstruction and repairs Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and pricing. Ability to read and interpret scopes of work, insurance documentation, photos, sketches, and building plans. Knowledge of insurance restoration estimating and supplement processes preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a fast-paced team. Preferred Qualifications IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT, or related certifications. Experience working with insurance carriers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs). Previous experience in both mitigation and reconstruction estimating.
