Senior Project Estimator

At Gaston & Wyatt, the Senior Project Estimator leads estimating on some of the most demanding custom architectural millwork projects in the country. You'll bring seasoned judgment to scope take-offs, pricing proposals, and bid strategy. What You'll Do Lead scope take-offs and develop accurate, detailed pricing proposals for high-profile architectural millwork projects, holding the work to a premium standard on every bid Review proposal request documents and build estimating schedules; track and report on bid status across the active proposal pipeline Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, production, and sales, leveraging the expertise around you and contributing yours in return to align project scopes, cost factors, and contract negotiations Analyze project data to continuously refine material, manufacturing, and installation cost factors; learn from every project and make the process better Develop and deliver training for estimating department personnel; invest in the people around you, and help build a stronger team What We're Looking For Required Hands-on experience with Innergy ERP — our platform for managing the full production workflow from estimating through install; this role demands fluency with the system from day one 5-10+ years of estimating experience with a thorough knowledge of architectural millwork and construction materials, methods, and costs Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong general technology skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work respectfully and effectively across all levels of the organization and directly with customers and vendors Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple complex proposals simultaneously, and a track record of strong follow-through Preferred Associate or bachelor's degree preferred Background in engineering, drafting, or production Experience supporting sales negotiations or leading estimating within a millwork or woodworking operation What We Offer Competitive salary ranging from $72,800 to $93,600, based on experience, paid weekly on Thursdays Comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage through Aetna, dental and vision through Principal, company-paid life insurance, and long-term A team-first environment where your expertise is valued, your leadership has real impact, and a strong incentive compensation program rewards the team's shared success Gaston & Wyatt has spent over 40 years earning a reputation for excellence in custom architectural millwork and luxury building products, and we know that reputation is only as strong as our last project.
