Job Description The Estimator will be responsible for: Preparing detailed conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates for commercial construction projects. Performing comprehensive quantity take-offs for materials including drywall, flooring, trim, exterior systems, and other building components. Reviewing project drawings and specifications to develop complete scopes of work. Analysing subcontractor proposals, level bids, and identifying scope gaps or exclusions. Collaborating with project teams and leadership throughout the preconstruction process. Assisting in developing project budgets and cost planning from early design through final pricing. Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Utilizing Bluebeam and BuildingConnected to manage estimates, bid packages, and project documentation. Supporting multiple projects ranging from $1M to $20M in value across various market sectors. The Successful Applicant A successful Estimator should have: 5-10 years of experience in construction estimating. Current experience working as an Estimator for a General Contractor. Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and materials. Demonstrated experience leveling subcontractor bids and identifying scope gaps. Ability to perform accurate material take-offs and quantity surveys. Proficient at reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Experience developing complete trade scopes and project budgets. Proficiency with Bluebeam and BuildingConnected. Strong communication and organizational skills. Experience with commercial, hospitality, multifamily, healthcare, retail, or restaurant projects is preferred.
