Job Overview Our Estimating & Technical Service supports daily operations by reviewing technical documents, preparing estimates, coordinating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, and producing accurate technical drawings and production files. This role requires strong communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities, along with hands‑on technical skills in CAD and manufacturing software. Responsibilities RFQ & Document Review — Analyze RFQs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents to determine project requirements. Customer & Supplier Communication — Communicate daily with customers and suppliers to gather information, clarify needs, and maintain strong relationships. Manufacturing Collaboration — Work closely with manufacturing teams on improvement projects and workflow optimization. Orders Team Coordination — Partner with the orders team to ensure smooth project flow and timely execution. Timely Response Management — Respond to requests within 24-48 hours or provide updates when awaiting additional information. AutoCAD Engineering — Reverse‑engineer gaskets and create accurate drawings to replicate customer requirements. Production Support — Assist production with file updates or drawing modifications as needed. Design Meetings — Lead or participate in critical design discussions to ensure technical accuracy. Internal Improvement Projects — Contribute to internal improvement reviews and initiatives. Waterjet File Creation — Create waterjet cutting files using IGems software. Router File Creation — Produce router files using V‑Carve software. Supplier Sourcing — Meet with existing and potential suppliers to reduce costs and expand capabilities. Material Knowledge — Work with various materials and understand their properties to guide customers toward the best solutions. Skills Microsoft Office Experience — Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Related Industry Exposure — Familiarity with manufacturing, engineering, or estimating environments. Independent & Teamwork — Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Attention to Detail — Strong organizational skills and precision in technical work. Project Management — Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Communication Skills — Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
