In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces and delivering exceptional results on every project. Duties Measure and prepare surfaces for flooring installation by reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans. Cut, shape, and lay flooring materials using hand tools and power tools with precision. Install various types of flooring such as tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet according to manufacturer specifications. Perform surface preparation tasks including leveling, sanding, and water damage restoration to ensure a smooth installation. Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation techniques to complete finished looks. Conduct floor care maintenance like buffing and cleaning to uphold quality standards post-installation. Assist with remodeling projects by providing handyman services such as painting, cabinet installation, and concrete finishing as needed. Skills Strong experience in flooring installation across different materials including tile laying and carpet setup. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, hammers) and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform trim carpentry, caulking, fixture installation, and general remodeling tasks.
