In this role, you will be responsible for installing carpets and related flooring materials with precision and professionalism. Your expertise in construction, flooring installation, and restoration will ensure that each project meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced subcontractors eager to contribute to diverse residential and commercial projects while enjoying flexible scheduling and growth potential. Duties Measure spaces accurately to determine material requirements and prepare detailed installation plans based on blueprints or schematics. Install carpets, tiles, and other flooring materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, ensuring proper fit and finish. Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute precise installations aligned with project specifications. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, caulking, or performing floor care to ensure optimal adhesion and durability of flooring materials. Perform restoration work such as water damage repair, floor refinishing, buffing, and surface preparation to restore floors to their best condition. Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, cabinetry, or other related components as needed during remodeling or renovation projects. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Requirements Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, carpentry, or related construction fields with a focus on carpet installation. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and water damage restoration techniques. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, concrete finishing equipment, buffing machines, and other industry-standard tools. Familiarity with the restoration industry practices including water damage repair and floor care procedures. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions for fixture installation or remodeling tasks. Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and efficient project execution. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality results across diverse projects.
