Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tile Setter Apprentice and kickstart your career in the construction and restoration industry! This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in installing a variety of flooring and building materials, including tile, hardwood, vinyl, epoxy, and carpet. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will develop essential skills in construction estimating, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring safety compliance on active job sites. This paid apprenticeship is designed to cultivate your craftsmanship, enhance your understanding of building material installation, and prepare you for a rewarding career in flooring and restoration projects. Duties Assist with the installation of tiles, hardwood floors, vinyl flooring, epoxy coatings, and carpets following technical drawings and project specifications Learn to operate hand tools and power tools safely for precise flooring and fixture installations Support the interpretation of construction plans and technical drawings to ensure accurate material placement Participate in manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning building materials on-site Aid in floor refinishing, buffing, caulking, and water damage restoration projects to restore surfaces to their optimal condition Follow all safety protocols related to building installation safety compliance and site regulations Contribute to remodeling and handyman tasks as needed to support project completion Experience No prior professional experience required; enthusiasm for construction and restoration is highly valued Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus but not mandatory—training will be provided Strong interest in learning construction estimating, flooring installation techniques, and interpreting technical drawings Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively on active job sites Previous experience in construction site work or restoration industry roles is advantageous but not essential Willingness to develop skills in epoxy floor installation, caulking, fixture installation, buffing, and other building material applications Commitment to safety standards and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills Embark on a fulfilling journey with us where every day brings new opportunities to build expertise in flooring installation, restoration work, and construction safety.
