In this role, you'll support skilled tile installers and construction crews by preparing work sites, handling materials, and assisting with various flooring and building material installations. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to high-quality craftsmanship on diverse projects, from residential remodels to commercial renovations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in construction and restoration industries while working in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Duties Assist with the preparation of construction sites by measuring, cutting, and handling tiles and building materials using hand tools and power tools Support installation of various flooring types including tile, epoxy floors, vinyl, hardwood, carpets, and refinishing surfaces Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to ensure accurate placement and alignment of materials Handle manual tasks such as caulking, fixture installation, buffing, and water damage restoration support Maintain safety compliance by adhering to building installation safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment Assist with the interpretation of technical specifications for projects involving tile laying, flooring installation, and remodeling tasks Support cleanup efforts post-installation to ensure a neat and safe work environment Qualifications Prior experience in construction or related fields such as remodeling or handyman work is highly desirable Familiarity with construction estimating, building material installation, and interpreting technical drawings Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, buffing equipment, and other relevant tools Knowledge of flooring installation techniques including tile laying, epoxy floor application, vinyl and hardwood floor installation Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while working on construction sites or restoration projects Strong understanding of building material safety standards and site safety protocols Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical plans and collaborating with team members Join us as a Tile Assistant to build your expertise in the construction industry while contributing to projects that transform spaces!
