Operations Manager Works Closely With:
Project Coordinators, Operations Manager, subcontracted installation crews, builders' site superintendents, homeowners, sales representatives, and ownership About Priano Priano designs, supplies, and installs high-end custom cabinetry, countertops, flooring, and interior finishes for luxury new construction and remodeling projects throughout Tampa Bay. Our work is lower-volume and higher-touch than production or big-box cabinetry. Projects involve custom details, demanding tolerances, multiple trades, luxury finishes, and clients who expect professional communication and careful execution from delivery through final closeout. About the Role We are hiring an experienced Field Project Supervisor to take ownership of cabinetry and countertop projects in the field after the sale and through final completion. This is a true field-management position—not a helper, installer, or inspection-only role. The Field Project Supervisor verifies that projects are buildable and sites are ready, directs subcontracted installation crews, manages installation quality and installer accountability, coordinates countertop installation, documents field conditions, walks projects with builders and homeowners, and drives punch lists to zero. This position has meaningful authority. The Field Project Supervisor verifies installer completion, releases or holds installer payments, documents and applies back charges when responsibility is established, and enforces Priano's installer agreements.
The defining competency is straightforward:
See the problem before the client does, understand why it happened, recommend the correct solution, and drive it to completion without sacrificing the design, schedule, budget, or client relationship. The Experience We Need This is an experienced field-leadership position. Priano will provide training on its internal processes and software, but the successful candidate must arrive with a working command of custom cabinetry, installation sequencing, drawings, tolerances, field problem-solving, and installer management. Candidates may come from custom-cabinet project management, field supervision, installation management, or lead-installation backgrounds. What matters is that you can independently walk a high-end cabinetry project, recognize what is correct and what is not, direct the responsible trade partner, document the issue, and drive the work to a professional closeout. This role is probably not the right fit if: Your cabinetry experience is limited to production, RTA, refacing, or big-box installations You cannot confidently interpret floor plans, elevations, shop drawings, and appliance specifications You have not directed installers, subcontractors, or field crews You identify problems but do not arrive with recommended solutions You avoid computerized systems or digital reporting You would require extensive training in cabinetry fundamentals before independently walking a project What You'll Own Installer and Trade Management Direct subcontracted cabinet installation crews by setting expectations, sequencing the work, inspecting during installation—not only at the end—and holding crews accountable to approved drawings, scope, schedule, and installation standards Conduct delivery and installation-start walkthroughs with installers; verify layout, material locations, site conditions, and that delivered materials are accounted for before work begins Personally verify installation completion before releasing installer work orders for payment Hold payment on incomplete or nonconforming work and document back charges when installer responsibility is established under Priano's agreements Enforce the service, punch, return-material, and warranty obligations established in Priano's installer agreements, including having the responsible installer correct workmanship issues without unauthorized additional charges Require installers to provide clear completion photographs and take independent photographs when needed to document completed work, field conditions, damage, missing materials, or responsibility for an issue Distinguish between an appropriate field adjustment, a repair, and a required remake Stop visually significant or design-altering field modifications that have not received written authorization Coordinate cabinetry with flooring, tile, plumbing, electrical, appliances, countertops, and paint Document and protect completed work, coordinate protection of finished cabinetry with the builder or site superintendent, document damage by others, and escalate recurring site-control issues Pre-Installation and Sold-Job Review Review sold projects—including sales orders, approved designs, scopes, elevations, shop drawings, and appliance specifications—for accuracy and buildability before ordering and installation Identify discrepancies, omitted components, conflicting information, field-condition risks, and long-lead items early enough to correct them without disrupting the project Perform site-readiness inspections covering field dimensions, wall and ceiling conditions, floor levelness, blocking, rough-in locations, appliance models, clearances, access, and trade readiness Confirm cabinet counts, finished sides, fillers, panels, trim, molding, hardware, and specialty components before mobilizing an installation crew Prevent avoidable mobilizations to jobsites that are not ready Change Orders and Field Scope Recognize when requested or required work falls outside the approved scope Document the reason for the change, affected locations, photographs, required labor, materials, responsible party, and schedule impact Provide Operations with the complete information needed to prepare and approve a change order before added work proceeds When qualified and appropriate, identify the necessary materials and prepare material pricing using Priano's required margins Maintain awareness of cost, margin, and schedule consequences when recommending a solution Countertop Coordination Manage the countertop field scope from cabinetry completion through final installation Confirm cabinetry is complete, level, properly secured, and ready before countertop templating Coordinate templating, field questions, fabrication timing, access, and installation Inspect countertop installation quality and document damage, fabrication issues, site conditions, and required corrections Quality Control, Walkthroughs, and Punch Apply a consistent inspection process covering level, plumb, square, reveals, fillers, scribes, flush panels, grain direction, finished ends, trim, crown, toe kicks, appliance panels, finish condition, hardware, and door, drawer, and mechanism operation Walk projects with builders' site superintendents, homeowners, installers, and other stakeholders Maintain punch lists with a specific location, issue, responsible party, required correction, photograph, and due date for every item Meet Priano's two-visit target for installer-controlled punch work on new construction: an installer blue-tape inspection before demobilization and the owner or builder walkthrough Track approved remakes, concealed defects, access restrictions, damage by others, and added scope separately from installer-controlled punch work Correctly separate workmanship issues from site conditions, missing materials, design or ordering issues, and damage by others Document responsibility clearly enough to support payment decisions, warranty enforcement, and back charges Drive open punch and service items to documented completion Systems, Reporting, and Documentation Work inside Priano's computerized systems every day, including NetSuite ERP and digital field-reporting tools Pull reports, update work orders, maintain punch items, upload photographs, and document conditions before, during, and after installation Keep job statuses, scheduled-duration dates, completion dates, and field notes accurate and current Understand that scheduling, budgeting, installer payments, purchasing decisions, and client communication depend on the accuracy of this information Monitor labor and field spending against project budgets and target margins Identify overruns early enough for Operations to take corrective action Track shortages, damage, remakes, service items, warranty items, return trips, back charges, and labor overruns Provide Operations with a weekly report covering completed work, outstanding work for the coming week, projects starting, significant risks, and decisions required Coordinate daily with Project Coordinators and the Operations Manager and keep the appropriate sales representative informed of meaningful schedule or field developments Client and Builder Communication Maintain a clean, organized, and professional presence in occupied luxury homes and active construction sites Communicate effectively with homeowners, builders, superintendents, installers, designers, and internal stakeholders Translate technical field issues into clear, calm, non-alarming language Set realistic expectations regarding installation stages, field corrections, remakes, punch work, and final adjustments Protect the client relationship while still documenting responsibility and enforcing Priano's standards Required Qualifications At least three years of hands-on high-end custom residential cabinetry experience, including lead-installer, installation-management, project-management, or field-supervision responsibility Five or more years of directly relevant cabinetry experience strongly preferred Demonstrated experience directing installers or subcontractors and holding them accountable for quality, schedule, completion, and corrective work Fluency with floor plans, elevations, shop drawings, installation details, and appliance specification sheets Strong command of cabinetry anatomy and tolerances, including inset versus overlay, fillers, scribes, reveals, finished ends, appliance panels, toe kicks, crown, trim, and specialty hardware Ability to independently inspect completed cabinetry and distinguish workmanship issues, field conditions, material defects, missing components, and damage by others Genuine computer proficiency and comfort working daily inside an ERP, project-management system, digital work orders, reports, and photo documentation A solutions-oriented approach: understand the cause of a problem, recommend a practical correction, consider cost and schedule consequences, and escalate clearly when a decision exceeds your authority Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable under Priano's commercial auto-insurance requirements Reliable transportation available for field travel when a personal-vehicle reimbursement arrangement applies Clear, professional communication in English Ability to travel daily throughout the Tampa Bay area Strongly Preferred Please call these qualifications out clearly in your application: English/Spanish bilingual ability, especially when coordinating with Spanish-speaking cabinet and flooring trade partners Current or recent experience with 20/20 Design, ProKitchen, or comparable cabinet-design software Experience with NetSuite, Buildertrend, or another ERP or construction project-management platform Countertop experience involving templating, fabricator coordination, stone or quartz installation, and quality control Flooring installation, field supervision, or flooring project-management experience Tile and waterproofing knowledge; Schluter systems experience or certification is a plus Broader interior-finish experience involving flooring, tile, plumbing, appliances, or finish carpentry Direct experience working with builders, site superintendents, designers, and homeowners on luxury residential projects Experience documenting and administering installer back charges, warranty obligations, and payment approvals Your First 90 Days The first 90 days are structured as an early performance milestone. During this period, Priano will train you on its internal procedures, reporting expectations, NetSuite workflows, documentation standards, and project communication practices. You will also have the opportunity to demonstrate your cabinetry judgment, field leadership, installer management, problem-solving, and ability to take ownership of assigned projects. At the end of the introductory period, Priano conducts a formal 90-day review to recognize demonstrated strengths, assess performance against the responsibilities of the position, confirm role alignment, clarify priorities, and establish next-stage goals. This gives a strong field leader an early, structured opportunity to demonstrate impact. Any future changes in responsibility, title, or compensation are based on performance, role scope, and business needs and are not automatic. Compensation and Benefits Starting pay is 22.00-25.00 per hour, based on directly relevant cabinetry, field-leadership, and project-management experience.
