Flooring Measure Technician - Independent Contractor Perfect Choice Flooring | Tampa Bay, FL Perfect Choice Flooring is looking for an experienced Flooring Measure Technician to perform residential and light commercial flooring measurements throughout the Tampa Bay area. This is an independent contractor / 1099 opportunity ideal for someone with flooring experience who is looking for flexible, additional work. What You'll Do You will visit customers' homes or businesses on behalf of Perfect Choice Flooring to gather everything our estimating team needs to accurately prepare a flooring quote.

Responsibilities include:

Travel to scheduled customer appointments throughout Tampa Bay Accurately measure rooms and flooring areas Create clear floor plans and measurements Identify flooring types and areas requiring removal Measure baseboards, quarter round, transitions, stairs and other relevant areas Take detailed photos of the project Document subfloor conditions and potential floor-prep requirements Identify anything that could impact installation or material requirements Submit measurements, photos and project notes to our team promptly Professionally represent Perfect Choice Flooring while inside customers' homes You will NOT be responsible for selling or pricing projects. Your responsibility is to provide our estimating and sales team with accurate information so we can build the quote. What We're Looking For Ideal candidates will have: Flooring installation, measuring or estimating experience Knowledge of LVP, laminate, hardwood, tile and carpet Strong understanding of flooring measurements and material requirements Ability to identify common installation and floor-preparation issues Experience with MeasureSquare is highly preferred Experience using a laser measuring device is preferred Reliable transportation Smartphone or tablet (you can sign a tablet out from us) Strong attention to detail Professional appearance and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage scheduled appointments Compensation Paid per completed measurement/project. Compensation can vary based on project size, complexity and travel distance. This is a great opportunity for an experienced flooring installer, estimator or measure technician looking to earn additional income without performing installations or selling flooring. Service Area Tampa Bay and surrounding areas, including Tampa, Riverview, Brandon, Valrico, Wesley Chapel, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and surrounding communities. Some projects may be as far as Miami if you would like to travel, but not mandatory. What Success Looks Like Our goal is simple: Show up on time. Measure accurately. Document everything. Send us a complete project package. Our team handles the estimating, pricing, sales and installation from there.
