The ideal candidate will have extensive experience installing a wide variety of tile materials in both residential and commercial settings. This position requires craftsmanship, precision, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes while meeting project deadlines. Key Responsibilities Install floor, wall, ceiling, backsplash, shower, and exterior tile according to project specifications. Measure, cut, and fit tile accurately using manual and power cutting tools. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, waterproofing, and applying appropriate underlayment or backer board. Mix and apply thin-set mortar, adhesives, grout, and sealants. Install tile in a variety of layouts and patterns, including straight lay, diagonal, herringbone, subway, basket weave, chevron, and custom designs. Ensure proper spacing, leveling, alignment, and finishing of all tile installations. Repair, replace, and restore damaged tile installations. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and installation plans. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and clients. Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies. Required Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of professional tile installation experience. Proven experience installing all tile sizes, including: Mosaic tile Subway tile Standard ceramic tile Large-format tile Extra-large porcelain slabs Natural stone panels Experience working with various tile materials, including: Ceramic Porcelain Marble Granite Travertine Slate Limestone Quartz Glass Cement tile Natural stone Strong knowledge of proper waterproofing systems and moisture barriers. Ability to install tile in wet areas, including showers, pools, patios, balconies, kitchens, and bathrooms. Experience working on uneven surfaces, remodeling projects, and new construction. Ability to perform demolition and surface preparation as needed. Skilled in using tile saws, grinders, laser levels, and other installation equipment. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience with luxury residential or high-end commercial projects. Knowledge of Schluter systems and other waterproofing products. Ability to complete custom tile layouts and intricate designs. Experience installing heated flooring systems. OSHA certification is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
