Description We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and skilled flooring installer to join Strands, a Painter Supply and Equipment Co. as a 1099 independent contractor . The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally, and can be trusted to represent our store with courtesy and professionalism while working in customers' homes. The flooring installer will be responsible for completing residential flooring installations efficiently, accurately, and to a high standard of quality. The ability to identify and work through installation challenges while maintaining excellent customer service is essential. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. The contractor is responsible for maintaining their own required business licensing, insurance, tools, vehicle, taxes, and other expenses associated with operating as an independent contractor. If you are an experienced flooring installer who takes pride in doing the job right and providing excellent service to customers, we would like to hear from you. Full-time or part-time opportunities are available. Work will be scheduled based on customer projects, installation needs, and mutually agreed-upon time frames. Experience installing some or all of the following flooring types is preferred: Carpet Vinyl flooring Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) Hardwood Ceramic tile We are looking for someone who: Takes pride in their craftsmanship Shows up when they say they will Communicates clearly with the store and customers Pays attention to the details Can be trusted to work professionally in customers' homes Takes ownership of their work Can identify problems and find practical solutions Consistently delivers a high-quality finished product Requirements Must carry liability insurance and provide proof of coverage Must have a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting necessary materials and equipment Must provide and maintain your own professional tools and equipment Proven experience as a professional flooring installer Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable and punctual, with the ability to meet agreed-upon schedules and time frames Professional communication and customer-service skills Ability to work independently and solve problems that may arise during installation Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment Ability to perform repetitive movements, including bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, and working on floors for extended periods Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment in customers' homes Must conduct yourself professionally and respectfully while representing our store References and examples of previous work are required/preferred: Professional references Photos of completed flooring installations Examples of previous work Description of flooring types and installation methods in which you have experience Full-time or part-time opportunities are available.
