Duties Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute flooring installations. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality. Install various flooring materials. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials according to specifications. Follow building installation safety compliance standards diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to technical specifications. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating and building material installation with a focus on flooring projects. Strong knowledge of commercial floor installation. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings such as schematics and blueprints; ability to read construction plans accurately. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, hammers), power tools (e.g., saws, drills), and specialized equipment for flooring installation tasks. Ability to handle manual tasks safely including lifting heavy materials and working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols. Construction site experience with a solid understanding of building codes and safety regulations related to flooring installation. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
