$25.00 - $35.00 / hour (Based on experience + project bonuses) The Role We are hiring a Lead Epoxy & Concrete Floor Coating Installer to head our field operations. In this role, you will lead day-to-day job site execution—handling concrete prep, applying high-performance base coats, flake systems, metallic epoxies, and polyaspartic topcoats, and directing your crew to deliver flawless results every time. About The Coat Goats Concrete Coatings At The Coat Goats, we set the standard in concrete coatings across Central Illinois. We specialize in turning worn, cracked concrete into durable, high-performance garage floors, metallic systems, and commercial spaces. We're looking for an experienced installer who knows floor coatings inside and out, is ready to master our specific process, and can confidently lead a team on the job site.
Key Responsibilities Lead Crew & Site Operations:
Manage daily job site workflow, guide crew members, ensure job site safety, and keep projects on schedule.
Surface Preparation:
Execute diamond grinding, crack repair, joint filling, and concrete patch work to ensure maximum mechanical bond.
Coating Application:
Precisely measure, mix, and apply epoxy base coats, decorative flake blends, metallic epoxies, and polyaspartic topcoats according to Coat Goats specifications.
Maintain Quality Control:
Inspect floor prep and application at every stage to ensure a long-lasting, flaw-free finish.
Customer Communication:
Serve as the friendly, professional on-site point of contact for residential and commercial clients.
Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance:
Maintain planetary grinders, dust extractors, prep tools, and trailers, ensuring everything is kept clean and operational.
What We're Looking For Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience installing epoxy, polyaspartic, or resinous flooring systems.
Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to direct a crew, train team members, and maintain high standards under tight timelines.
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of concrete surface preparation standards (CSP), surface moisture, crack repair techniques, and chemical mix ratios.
Process Mindset:
Willingness to adopt, perfect, and execute the Coat Goats installation standard.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation to the shop/site, and a strong work ethic.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and work on your feet comfortably throughout the day.
