In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces by expertly installing a small variety of flooring materials, including hardwood and vynil plank. Your skills will ensure that each project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated construction professionals eager to showcase their hands-on skills and contribute to beautiful, durable flooring solutions in residential and commercial settings. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing floors to ensure proper adhesion of flooring materials. Install various types of flooring including hardwood and vynil plank. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for cutting, measuring, fitting, and finishing flooring materials. Perform floor finishing tasks such as caulking and sealing trim. Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy furniture and appliances. Ensure all work complies with building installation safety standards and local codes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Experience Proven construction site experience with a strong background in flooring installation or related trades. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints accurately. Hands-on experience with hardwood floor installation, and vynil plank installation. Familiarity with building material handling including caulk. Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers; power tools including drills and sanders; and specialized equipment for flooring applications. Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols; understanding of building installation safety compliance is essential. Additional skills in construction painting or finishing work are a plus; certification or industry experience in restoration or handyman services is advantageous.
