Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Installer to join our construction and remodeling team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation, construction site experience, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves installing carpet, tile, and other flooring materials with precision and professionalism. The successful applicant will contribute to high-quality renovation projects, ensuring customer satisfaction through expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. Duties Measure and prepare work areas for carpet and flooring installation, including cutting and fitting materials accurately. Install carpets, tiles, and other flooring materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure proper installation according to specifications. Perform related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and water damage restoration as needed. Assist with remodeling projects including cabinet installation, construction painting, concrete finishing, and flooring repairs. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling tools and disposing of waste materials. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Experience Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction work. Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and restoration industry practices. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, carpentry techniques, and floor care procedures. Experience with water damage restoration or water-related repairs is a plus. Prior work on construction sites involving remodeling projects or maintenance person tasks is highly desirable. Ability to operate equipment such as buffing machines or concrete finishing tools is advantageous. $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
