Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Installer/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation, restoration, and finishing of various flooring materials, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Duties Assist with the installation of a wide range of flooring materials including epoxy, carpet, vinyl, hardwood, tile, and laminate floors. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayments or adhesives in accordance with project specifications. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install flooring components according to technical drawings and schematics. Interpret construction plans and blueprints to ensure accurate placement of flooring systems and related fixtures. Support with demolition, surface preparation, and water damage restoration tasks as needed on various construction sites. Follow building material installation safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment at all times. Assist with additional tasks such as drywall installation, caulking, trim carpentry, cabinet mounting, and general remodeling projects to support overall site completion. Skills Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, tile cutters) for precise flooring work. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics. Experience with epoxy floor installation, hardwood floor laying, tile setting, vinyl flooring installation, and floor refinishing techniques. Familiarity with building material handling practices including manual handling safety procedures. Ability to read blueprints and construction plans accurately for proper installation alignment. Strong understanding of building installation safety compliance standards across construction sites. Experience in restoration industry tasks such as water damage repair or drywall finishing is a plus. Skilled in using schematics for fixture installation or cabinetry setup within renovation projects.
