Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Flooring Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and refinishing a variety of flooring materials in commercial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces by ensuring high-quality installation standards, adhering to safety protocols, and delivering exceptional craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to the creation of beautiful, durable flooring solutions. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary treatments to ensure optimal flooring adhesion. Install various flooring materials including epoxy coatings, carpet, vinyl, hardwood, tile, and laminate with precision and attention to detail. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials. Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing, sanding, sealing, and water damage restoration to restore or enhance existing floors. Measure spaces accurately for material estimates and layout planning; assist with construction estimating when needed. Ensure all work complies with building material installation standards and safety regulations on construction sites. Requirements Proven construction experience with a focus on flooring installation or related building projects. Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., saws, drills, caulking guns) and power tools required for flooring work. Knowledge of various flooring types including epoxy floors, carpets, vinyl, hardwoods, tiles, and their specific installation methods. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Experience with drywall repair, trim carpentry, fixture installation, cabinet installation, and remodeling is a plus. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy materials safely throughout the workday. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and building installation safety compliance standards. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; capable of troubleshooting issues during installation or restoration projects. Valid construction site experience with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
