Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and refinishing a variety of flooring materials across residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces by delivering high-quality flooring solutions that meet safety standards and client expectations. Duties Measure and interpret construction plans and schematics to determine material quantities and installation procedures for flooring projects. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary primers or adhesives to ensure optimal flooring adhesion. Install a wide range of flooring types including hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy, carpet, and laminate with precision and attention to detail. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials according to specifications. Perform floor refinishing tasks such as sanding, buffing, sealing, and water damage restoration to restore floors to their original condition or enhance their appearance. Follow building installation safety compliance standards at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and clients to interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and schematics for seamless execution of installation tasks. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, building material installation, or related fields with a focus on flooring projects. Strong knowledge of various flooring materials including hardwood, vinyl, tile laying, epoxy floor installation, carpet installation, and floor refinishing techniques. Skilled in using hand tools such as caulking guns, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers as well as power tools like saws, drills, sanders for precise work. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately for proper installation procedures. Experience with water damage restoration industry practices or remodeling projects is a plus. Familiarity with building installation safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe work environment on construction sites. Excellent manual handling skills combined with the ability to lift heavy materials safely during installation or removal processes. Knowledge of additional skills such as trim carpentry, fixture installation, cabinet installation, concrete finishing or handyman experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
