Job Description
Floor Coating Crew Member - $20-$30/hr | Paid Training Summit Floor Coatings | Northern Michigan Summit Floor Coatings is a growing small business specializing in decorative concrete floor coatings and concrete polishing for residential and commercial customers throughout Northern Michigan. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Crew Member to work directly alongside our owner/operator. No previous floor coating experience is required—we will train the right person. This is an opportunity to learn a skilled trade, develop hands-on skills, and grow with a small company. What You'll Do Prepare concrete surfaces for coating and polishing. Assist with installation of decorative floor coating systems. Operate grinders, vacuums, hand tools, and power equipment. Assist with repairs and concrete polishing. Follow company procedures and installation methods. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Protect customers' homes, businesses, and property. Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Work closely with the owner/operator to complete projects safely and to a high standard. Because we're a small and growing company, you'll have the opportunity to learn multiple parts of the trade and take on more responsibility as your skills develop. What We're Looking For Reliable, punctual, and hardworking. Willingness to learn and follow directions. Takes pride in quality work and attention to detail. Comfortable working closely with the owner/operator as part of a small crew. Professional and respectful with customers and coworkers. Able to work independently once trained. Interested in developing skills and growing with the company. Construction, concrete, painting, flooring, landscaping, warehouse, manufacturing, or other skilled-trade experience is preferred but not required. Job Requirements This is physically demanding, hands-on work.
