Floor Technician Onsite, Florissant, MO Augustine Institute is currently seeking a part-time Floor Technician to maintain various types of flooring throughout our Main Campus in Florissant, Missouri, and work on special projects.

Key Responsibilities include:

Restorative Tasks:

Repair, refinish, or replace damaged flooring; prepare surfaces for new flooring and ensure proper installation.

Equipment Operation:

Use and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, vacuums, carpet extractors, sweepers, and chemical dispensing units.

Safety Compliance:

Follow health and safety standards, install non-slip surfaces, handle chemicals safely, and minimize slip, trip, and fall hazards.

Inspection and reporting:

Monitor floor conditions, report maintenance issues, and maintain records of cleaning schedules and inventory.

Collaboration:

Coordinate with custodial teams, facility managers, or housekeeping supervisors to ensure minimal disruption and high-quality results.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

Experience:

Previous experience in floor maintenance or custodial work is preferred.

Technical skills:

Knowledge of different flooring types (carpet, tile, wood, vinyl, etc.) and appropriate cleaning or restoration methods.

Physical ability:

Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
