In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings to various flooring surfaces, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and safety standards are met. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise surface preparation, coating application, and restoration techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential renovations to large-scale commercial installations, contributing to the improvement and maintenance of functional, visually appealing floors. Duties Prepare flooring surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of coatings Apply coatings using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying), and finishing with hand tools or power tools Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately execute coating projects according to design requirements Conduct surface inspections and perform visual color comparisons to achieve desired finishes and color consistency Use ladders safely for elevated work and perform structural painting or repair as needed on floors or adjacent surfaces Follow strict safety regulations by wearing appropriate respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocols during surface preparation and coating application Assist in renovation projects by performing drywall repairs, caulking, trim carpentry, plastering, masonry work, or fixture installation as required Qualifications Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on construction or industrial painting and surface preparation Knowledge of construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring and material calculations Familiarity with color theory for achieving accurate color matches in residential or commercial settings Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless systems), brushes, rollers, and other application equipment Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and surface condition reports accurately Experience with drywall installation/repair, stucco application, caulking, framing carpentry, renovation projects, and restoration work is highly desirable Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction painting environments including respiratory protection practices Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship in coating applications Valid experience in construction estimating or project planning is a plus Join us if you're eager to bring your expertise into a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact the quality of our projects.
