This role is intended for candidates with hands-on flooring industry experience .. This is a working manager position supporting office operations, payroll, install dispatching, warehouse activity, and field coordination. The Assistant Manager works directly with JW customers, installers, subcontractors, retail business partners. If you do not have prior experience in flooring, construction, or field operations, this role will not be a fit. About JW Floor Covering Inc. JW Floor Covering Inc. has provided professional flooring installation services since 1989. We are the exclusive flooring installer for the nation's #1 home improvement retailer and operate nine service warehouses across California and one office in Las Vegas. Role Overview As part of the JW Management Team, the Assistant Manager shares responsibility for the daily operations of the Las Vegas branch . This role requires the ability to move confidently between the warehouse, office, and job sites and to communicate effectively with experienced installers and business partners. Key Responsibilities Installer & Operations Coordination Dispatch installers in the early morning Schedule, check in, and track installation jobs Review job paperwork for accuracy and readiness Serve as a point of contact for installers throughout the day Warehouse Operations Oversee daily warehouse workflow and material organization Operate a forklift to move carpet, hard-surface materials, and supplies Maintain safe, clean, and efficient warehouse conditions Assist installers during material pick-ups and returns Office & Administrative Support Perform daily office administrative tasks Communicate with customers and retail partner employees (B2B) Manage job documentation and reporting Field & Technical Responsibilities Conduct job site inspections as needed Read and interpret plans, layouts, and work orders Accurately measure using a tape measure Assist with estimating, issue resolution, and quality control Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of flooring or construction industry experience Prior experience as an installer, lead installer, field supervisor, or similar role Proven ability to read plans and understand installation scope Strong working knowledge of flooring materials and installation processes Forklift experience (certification preferred or ability to obtain) OSHA 30-hour Construction (certification preferred or ability to obtain) Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient with computers and mobile technology Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, lift, and work on your feet Ability to lift and carry up to50 lbs Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Preferred Spanish-speaking (highly preferred) Prior leadership, lead installer, or supervisory experience (highly preferred) Forlift certfified (highly preferred) Dispatch experience (highly preferred) OSHA 30 hr construction (highly preferred) Hiring Process To apply, submit your resume and complete the qualification questions.
