Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation, tile laying, and related construction activities. Candidates with a background in construction estimating, carpentry, and water damage restoration will be highly valued. The Flooring Installer will play a key role in delivering high-quality flooring solutions to our clients while maintaining safety and efficiency on the job site. Responsibilities Install various types of flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile according to project specifications Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to ensure precise execution Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors or existing flooring before installation Use hand tools and power tools such as caulking guns, saws, drills, and buffing equipment for installation tasks Measure spaces accurately to cut materials to size and ensure proper fitment Perform floor care tasks such as sealing, finishing, and buffing to achieve a polished look Assist with related construction activities including trim carpentry, fixture installation, cabinet installation, and water damage restoration when needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and industry standards Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met on time Skills Proven experience in flooring installation and tile laying within the construction or restoration industry Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Proficiency with hand tools such as caulking guns, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers; power tools including saws, drills, buffers; and specialized equipment for floor care and restoration Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and site safety protocols Experience with carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry and fixture installation Familiarity with water damage restoration processes and industry standards for floor care and surface preparation Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for precise measurements and installations Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction industry while honing your skills in flooring installation and related trades.
