Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hardwood Floor Refinisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sanding, staining, and finishing hardwood floors, with an eye for detail and a commitment to quality. This role requires someone who is physically capable, dependable, and takes pride in delivering excellent work.
Key Responsibilities:
Sand, stain, and finish hardwood floors according to Monroe Floor Resurfacing's high standards. Perform repairs, patchwork, and replacement of damaged wood as needed. Use specialized equipment and tools safely and efficiently, including dustless sanding machines. Apply finishes with precision to achieve desired sheen and durability. Conduct quality checks to ensure consistency and a flawless finish. Interact with clients professionally, answer questions, and explain the refinishing process as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site. Follow safety guidelines and company protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in hardwood floor refinishing. Strong knowledge of various wood species and their refinishing requirements. Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and tools. Ability to match stains and finishes to existing woodwork when required. Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Professionalism, punctuality, and good communication skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of floor refinishing and installation techniques. Experience with custom stain mixes and finishes. Familiarity with dustless refinishing processes. Professionalism on-site, no swearing.

$20.00 - $40.00 per hour
