Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various types of flooring materials across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces by ensuring precise installation and adherence to safety standards, delivering exceptional results that meet client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship while working on diverse projects that require a strong understanding of flooring techniques and construction practices. Duties Measure and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the scope of flooring projects. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal installation conditions. Install a variety of flooring materials including hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy coatings, carpets, and laminate with precision and attention to detail. Use caulking, drywall finishing, trim carpentry, and fixture installation skills to complete seamless flooring transitions and finishing touches. Conduct floor refinishing, buffing, water damage restoration, and floor care to maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Follow all building material installation safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Read blueprints and interpret technical schematics accurately to align installation processes with project specifications. Assist in remodeling projects by integrating flooring solutions with other building components such as cabinetry and drywall. Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials and operating construction equipment safely during installation or restoration activities. Experience Proven experience in flooring installation across various materials such as hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy floors, and carpets within construction or restoration industries. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to flooring projects. Familiarity with interpreting construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to flooring layouts. Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in flooring installation and finishing tasks. Construction site experience demonstrating adherence to safety regulations and best practices for building installation safety compliance. Background in water damage restoration or floor refinishing is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience in carpentry, drywall finishing, caulking, trim work, or handyman tasks enhances versatility on the job site. Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment.
