This role is responsible for managing field crews, coordinating schedules, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solution-oriented, and experienced in commercial flooring systems including carpet, LVT/LVP, VCT, sheet vinyl, and specialty flooring applications. This individual will play a critical leadership role in supporting Ascent's mission of delivering best-in-class service, fast responses, and simplified solutions for our clients. K ey Responsibilities Project & Field Operations Manage day-to-day flooring installation operations across multiple commercial projects Coordinate manpower, schedules, material deliveries, and equipment needs Lead and supervise installation crews, subcontractors, and field supervisors Review project plans, specifications, and installation requirements prior to mobilization Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within labor budgets Troubleshoot field issues and proactively solve installation challenges Perform installations on projects as needed or directed Team Leadership Recruit, train, and develop installers and field personnel Maintain accountability and productivity standards across crews Foster a strong culture of communication, professionalism, and teamwork Conduct regular crew meetings and performance evaluations Client & Internal Coordination Serve as a primary point of contact for project managers, superintendents, and customers during installation Coordinate closely with estimating, project management, and procurement teams Communicate schedule changes, project risks, and manpower needs proactively Support customer satisfaction through responsiveness and attention to detail Quality & Safety Enforce company safety standards and OSHA compliance Maintain high-quality workmanship standards on all projects Conduct punch walks and oversee completion of closeout items Ensure proper installation methods per manufacturer specifications and industry standards Qualifications 5+ years of experience in commercial flooring installation management or field supervision Strong knowledge of commercial flooring systems including: Carpet Tile/Broadloom
LVT/LVP VCT
Sheet Vinyl Rubber Flooring Specialty Flooring Systems Ability to read blueprints, finish schedules, and construction documents Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Experience managing multiple projects and crews simultaneously Proficient with scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and mobile field technology Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience in multifamily, healthcare, education, hospitality, or industrial construction Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Experience with self-performing labor operations Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance bonuses Company vehicle or vehicle allowance Health insurance Paid time off and holidays Career advancement opportunities within a fast-growing company
