In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and refinishing a variety of flooring materials across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces by ensuring precise, high-quality flooring solutions that meet safety standards and client expectations. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications to determine flooring installation requirements. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors to ensure optimal adhesion and durability. Install various flooring types including hardwood, vinyl, tile, carpet, and other resilient surfaces using hand tools and power tools. Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations related to building installation safety standards and industry best practices. Handle manual tasks such as measuring, cutting, fitting materials precisely, and managing building materials efficiently on-site. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to site safety protocols throughout each project. Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on flooring installation or related building trades. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or construction plans. Hands-on experience with epoxy floor installation, hardwood flooring, tile laying, vinyl flooring, carpet installation, and floor refinishing techniques. Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers; power tools including drills and sanders; and specialized equipment for floor care and restoration. Knowledge of building material installation safety compliance standards is essential for maintaining a safe work environment. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of water damage restoration processes is preferred. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy or awkward materials during installations or repairs. Additional handyman skills such as drywall repair, painting, caulking, fixture installation, remodeling projects, and buffing are highly desirable for versatile project support.
