In this role, you will be responsible for installing, refinishing (if you posess sanding skills), and restoring hardwood floors with precision and care. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your skills in flooring installation and building material handling to create beautiful, durable floors that stand the test of time. Responsibilities Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of hardwood flooring. Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces to meet installation standards. Install hardwood floors using hand tools, power tools, and proper techniques for a seamless finish. Handle building materials safely while adhering to all safety regulations and building installation safety compliance protocols. Assist with related tasks such as vinyl plank floor installation as needed. Conduct quality checks throughout the project to ensure durability, appearance, and adherence to specifications. Qualifications Proven experience in hardwood floor installation and general construction site work. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and other manual handling equipment efficiently and safely. Knowledge of construction estimating, interpreting technical drawings, and working with construction plans. Experience with floor refinishing techniques including buffing and water damage restoration is a bonus Vinyl plank flooring Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and compliance requirements. Additional skills in remodeling projects, handyman tasks, cabinet installation, floor care, restoration work, and water damage repair are highly desirable.
