Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and refinishing a variety of flooring materials across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces by ensuring precise, high-quality flooring installations that meet safety standards and client expectations. Responsibilities Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to determine flooring layouts and material requirements Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces to ensure optimal installation conditions Install a wide range of flooring materials including hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy coatings, carpet, and laminate with precision and attention to detail Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fitting, and securing flooring materials Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing, sanding, sealing, and water damage restoration to restore existing floors Ensure compliance with building installation safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, drywall installers, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and meet project deadlines Requirements Proven experience in flooring installation including hardwood, vinyl, tile laying, epoxy floor installation, carpet installation, and floor refinishing Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or construction plans Familiarity with hand tools such as saws, drills, chisels as well as power tools used in flooring projects Ability to handle manual tasks involving lifting heavy materials safely and efficiently Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols and building material installation standards Skills in caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, drywall finishing, cabinet installation and general remodeling are a plus Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different project requirements and troubleshoot issues on-site Construction site experience including water damage restoration or floor care is desirable Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to contribute your skills in a fast-paced environment.
