Responsibilities Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to determine the scope of flooring projects Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors to ensure proper installation of various flooring materials such as hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy, and carpet Install flooring materials accurately using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines Conduct floor refinishing, buffing, and water damage restoration to restore surfaces to their optimal condition Assist with building material installation including drywall, trim carpentry, caulking, fixture installation, and cabinet mounting as needed on site Ensure proper handling of building materials through manual handling techniques to prevent damage and promote safety Interpret construction plans and technical specifications to execute projects efficiently and accurately Skills Extensive experience with flooring installation including hardwood, LVP, tile laying, carpet installation, and sheet vinyl installation. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, trowels, and caulking guns; familiarity with power tools including drills and sanders Strong understanding of construction estimating processes for project planning and material procurement Knowledge of building material installation techniques including drywall, trim carpentry, fixture mounting, and cabinetry Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately for precise execution Experience with construction site safety procedures and ensuring compliance with safety regulations during all phases of work Skills in water damage restoration, floor care maintenance, remodeling projects, and general handyman tasks Capable of manual handling of heavy materials while maintaining safety standards on busy job sites Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship in flooring installation!
