Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces and delivering durable, aesthetically pleasing flooring solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to commercial renovations, utilizing your hands-on skills and construction industry knowledge. Responsibilities Measure and prepare surfaces accurately for flooring installation using hand tools and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to ensure precise placement of flooring materials. Install various types of flooring such as tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet with attention to detail. Perform surface preparation tasks including leveling, caulking, trimming, and water damage restoration as needed. Handle fixture installation, trim carpentry, and cabinet installation to complement flooring projects. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for each job. Maintain safety standards on-site by using proper personal protective equipment and adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, and general construction site work. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and schematic interpretation. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and caulking guns; familiarity with power tools is essential. Experience in restoration industry work including water damage restoration and floor care. Ability to perform carpentry tasks like trim carpentry, fixture installation, concrete finishing, remodeling, and construction painting. Knowledge of schematics for fixture installation and schematic reading for complex projects. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site during unforeseen challenges. Valid construction site experience with a focus on safety practices; handyman experience is a plus.
