Job Description

Experienced Carpet Installer for Custom Rugs & Rug Repair Feizy Rugs is seeking an experienced carper installer / rug repair expert to assist with our rug repair and custom teams. This is a hands-on position will work under a custom rug expert learning the machine-made and handmade rug repair and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of carpet and rug industry experience, including hands-on experience as a carpet installer and/or rug repair technician. Any experience working with custom and/or antique rugs is a huge plus. Candidate MUST have strong knowledge of rug cutting, binding, fabrication, repair, and finishing. Key Functions Perform rug repair, fabrication, cutting, binding, serging, edging, and finishing. Inspect rugs and determine appropriate repair and fabrication methods. Provide hands-on training, coaching, and technical guidance to rug repairers. Work with a variety of rug types, materials, fibers, and construction methods. Ensure completed work meets company quality standards and customer specifications. Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient workshop. Monitor equipment, tools, and workshop supplies. Troubleshoot repair and fabrication issues and provide solutions. Work closely with Custom Department Manager and other departments to coordinate job priorities and deadlines. Expected Qualifications 5+ years of experience in the carpet and/or rug industry. Required fluent reading, writing and speaking in English and Spanish Professional experience as a carpet installer. Hands-on rug repair experience. Experience working with custom and/or antique rugs a plus. Strong experience with rug cutting, binding, fabrication, repair, and finishing. Previous supervisory or team-lead experience. Strong understanding of rug construction, materials, fibers, and repair techniques. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to accurately measure, cut, repair, and fabricate rugs. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability and willingness to work hands-on alongside the rug repair team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work with hands for extended periods. Ability to lift, move, and handle rugs and materials as needed. Ability to safely operate workshop tools and equipment.
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
