In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring a variety of flooring surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet safety standards and client expectations. Duties Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to determine the scope of flooring projects. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayments or primers for optimal installation results. Install various flooring types including hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy coatings, carpets, and laminate flooring with precision and care. Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials according to specifications. Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing, sanding, sealing, and water damage restoration to restore floors to their original condition or improve existing surfaces. Ensure compliance with building installation safety standards by following proper procedures for handling materials and operating equipment. Assist with remodeling projects and fixture installations as needed while maintaining a clean and organized work site. Experience Proven experience in flooring installation or related construction fields such as carpentry or remodeling. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or construction plans. Hands-on experience with epoxy floor installation, tile laying, hardwood floor installation, vinyl flooring, carpet installation, and floor refinishing techniques. Familiarity with the use of hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels), power tools (e.g., drills, sanders), and building materials for precise installation work. Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols including building installation safety compliance. Background in restoration industry work such as water damage restoration or renovation projects is a plus. Ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials safely while maintaining quality standards. Knowledge of caulking, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, fixture setup, and general handyman skills enhances versatility on the job.
