In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, glue down/adhesive flooring, laminate, and vinyl, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces and bringing clients' visions to life through precise installation techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to commercial renovations, in a fast-paced and supportive environment. Duties Perform surface preparation tasks such as leveling concrete, removing old flooring, and repairing water damage to ensure a smooth foundation. Measure and prepare surfaces accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure proper installation. Cut, shape, and lay flooring materials with precision using hand tools and power tools. Install tiles, hardwood, glue down/adhesive flooring, laminate, vinyl, and other flooring types following industry standards and safety protocols. Checking the installation to ensure the flooring is straight and level Applying any finishing materials, such as grout on tile or stain on wood Ensuring work area and projects remain clean and tidy Maintain safety protocols on-site while ensuring quality control through detailed inspections of completed work. Qualifications Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction fields with a strong understanding of construction estimating. Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, trowels, and power tools for precise work. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings for accurate project execution. Experience with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and floor care. Familiarity with carpentry skills such as trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and construction painting is a plus. Ability to work safely on construction sites while adhering to all safety regulations. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to project changes or unforeseen challenges.
