Duties Support carpet installers by preparing work areas, including clearing debris and setting up tools and materials Assist with measuring spaces accurately using schematics and interpreting technical drawings for proper installation Handle manual tasks such as moving building materials, floor tiles, drywall, and trim carpentry components safely and efficiently Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision for tasks like cutting, fitting, and securing flooring materials Aid in epoxy floor installation, vinyl floor installation, hardwood floor installation, tile laying, and water damage restoration projects Follow safety protocols related to construction site safety compliance during all phases of flooring installation and building material handling Contribute to floor refinishing, concrete finishing, drywall work, caulking, painting, fixture installation, and general remodeling activities as needed Experience Previous construction site experience or familiarity with building material installation is preferred but not required; training will be provided Basic knowledge of construction estimating, schematics interpretation, and reading technical drawings is a plus Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in flooring or carpentry work is advantageous Familiarity with flooring types such as epoxy coatings, vinyl floors, hardwoods, tiles, or water damage restoration enhances your suitability for the role Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment Experience in restoration industry work or handyman tasks related to remodeling or construction painting is beneficial This role offers an engaging environment where safety is paramount and teamwork drives success.
