Hardwood Floor Technician
Job Description
Site-Finished Hardwood Flooring Technician / Installer We are looking for an experienced, dependable hardwood flooring technician/installer with hands-on experience installing and working with site-finished hardwood flooring . The ideal candidate understands the complete site-finished hardwood process and takes pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship, clean installations, and professional results. Responsibilities Install site-finished hardwood flooring using appropriate nail-down/cleat or staple installation methods. Accurately measure rooms and plan hardwood flooring layouts. Prepare job sites and evaluate subfloor conditions before installation. Install hardwood around walls, doorways, closets, stairs, and other challenging areas. Perform accurate cuts, fitting, transitions, and detailed finish work. Assist with or perform sanding, staining, and finishing of hardwood floors. Install baseboards, shoe molding, quarter-round, and other trim as needed. Identify and communicate subfloor or installation issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Protect customers' homes, furniture, walls, and other surfaces while working. Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members. Complete projects according to company quality standards and scheduled deadlines. Experience We're Looking For Strong hands-on experience with site-finished hardwood flooring , including: Unfinished hardwood installation Nail-down hardwood installation Hardwood layout and measurements Subfloor preparation Sanding and edging Staining and color matching Application of hardwood floor finishes Screening/recoating and floor preparation Repairs and replacement of existing hardwood Transitions and detailed cuts Baseboards and trim Stairs and more challenging installations
•Experience with engineered hardwood, prefinished hardwood, LVP, laminate, or other flooring products is helpful, but experience with site-finished hardwood is our primary focus .
•Qualifications Professional experience working with site-finished hardwood flooring. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Reliable transportation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to perform physically demanding flooring work. Professional appearance and attitude. Reliable and punctual. Pay:
