CERAMIC TILE MECHANIC / LEAD INSTALLER
We are seeking experienced Ceramic Tile Mechanics / Lead Installers with a minimum of 6 years of professional tile-setting experience. Candidates must be true tile mechanics; general flooring mechanics are not being considered. Required Experience & Capabilities
  • Minimum 6 years of professional ceramic tile installation experience.
  • Perform complex and difficult tile layouts independently and accurately.
  • Lead, coordinate, and effectively manage small installation crews.
  • Install and properly prepare thick-set mortar beds.
  • Install waterproofing and crack-isolation membrane systems.
  • Perform thin-set installation of ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile in a wide range of sizes and applications.
  • Install large-format ceramic/porcelain thin panels, including panels up to approximately 1 meter x 3 meters.
  • Read plans, specifications, details, and layouts and execute work to a high commercial construction standard.
  • Maintain strong quality, productivity, jobsite safety, and proper installation practices. Certification & Safety
Preferred:
Certified Tile Installer (CTI) or comparable recognized tile-industry certification.
  • A current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certificate is a plus.
  • Up-to-date CPR/First Aid training is a plus. State & Federal Project Requirements
  • Must meet all eligibility and compliance requirements necessary to work on state and federal construction projects, including applicable jobsite and security requirements.
  • Must be drug-free.
  • Must possess a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to successfully pass required background checks.
Candidate Profile We are specifically looking for career ceramic tile professionals with strong technical installation skills and leadership capabilities, not installers whose primary experience is carpet, resilient, wood, or other general flooring.
Pay:
$32.00 - $40.00 per hour Application Question(s): Would you be able to pass a drug test? Do you have a clean driving record? Can you pass a background check? What are you looking for in hourly rate/salary?
Experience:
professional ceramic tile installation: 6 years (Preferred) installing thick-set mortar beds: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Certified Tile Installer (CTI) (Preferred) OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certificate (Preferred)
