Thomas Tile and Stone LLC is looking for a reliable, hardworking full-time Tile Installer Helper / Construction Laborer to join our team. We specialize in high-end custom residential tile installation throughout Powhatan, Richmond, Chesterfield, and surrounding areas. Starting pay is $18-$22/hour depending on experience, demonstrated ability, and work ethic. Previous tile experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Construction experience, familiarity with tools, and experience working in the trades are a plus. This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than just a laborer position. A dependable employee who learns the trade and develops tile-installation skills will have opportunities for increased responsibility, advancement, and higher pay.

Responsibilities include:

Loading and unloading tile, tools, and materials Mixing thinset, grout, and other setting materials Jobsite setup and cleanup Organizing tools and materials Assisting installers with shower and floor preparation Making basic tile cuts once trained Protecting finished surfaces and keeping jobsites clean Assisting with waterproofing and tile installation as skills develop Helping keep installers supplied and productive throughout the day What we're looking for: Reliable attendance and punctuality Strong work ethic Ability to take direction and learn Ability to stay productive without constant supervision Professional attitude around homeowners, builders, and other trades Physically capable of lifting and carrying 50+ lbs Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Willingness to learn the tile trade Drug-free workplace

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday-Friday. Occasional additional hours may be available as needed.

Pay:

$18-$22/hour DOE Candidates with previous construction or tile experience may qualify toward the upper end of the pay range.
