As a key contributor, you will utilize your skills in building material installation, blueprint reading, and technical interpretation to deliver exceptional results that meet client specifications and safety standards. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute tile and masonry installations. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary substrates for optimal tile adhesion. Install various types of tiles—including ceramic, porcelain, stone, and mosaic—using appropriate hand tools and power tools. Measure dimensions precisely with tape measures and other tools to ensure accurate cuts and placements. Follow blueprint specifications and construction plans to complete projects on time and within scope. Perform related tasks such as grout application, caulking, trim carpentry, drywall finishing, plastering, stucco application, gutter installation, and fixture mounting as needed. Operate heavy equipment or scaffolding safely for elevated or large-scale installations. Conduct quality inspections during each phase of work to ensure adherence to safety regulations and project standards. Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate efforts efficiently. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris regularly. Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on tile masonry installation or related trades such as carpentry or masonry. Demonstrated ability to interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., trowels, levels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) safely and effectively. Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam is a plus for reviewing plans and documenting progress. Knowledge of building materials including tiles, grout, adhesives, drywall compounds, stucco mixes, and caulking products. Experience with remodeling projects or restoration work is advantageous. Ability to work at heights using ladders safely while maintaining steady craftsmanship. Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and inspection procedures. Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or project supervisors about project status or technical issues.
