Overview Precision Floors & Decor seeks experienced, full-time flooring installers. The ideal candidate follows installation specifications, employs the tools and techniques to bring those specs to fruition, takes pride in high-quality work, and shares the customer's joy and satisfaction with the resulting home improvements. Compensation and benefits Salary depends on experience and performance.
Experienced carpet installers:
$30,000 to $45,000+ Experienced tile installers: $30,000 to $60,000+ 3% retirement match Paid vacation $1000.00 Sign On Bonus 100% Paid Health, Vision, & Dental Insurance Experience Some experience is preferred, but we will train the right person who is interested in learning an excellent trade/ occupation. Flooring installer principal responsibilities Load, transport and unload materials Calculate accurately various surface areas and cubic volumes, to estimate needed material quantities Treat base surfaces to prepare for application of floor covering Mix and apply required adhesives to foundation, to prepare for installation Cut foundation materials and flooring to specifications (blueprints, sketches, etc.) Install carpet, tile, or other specified flooring Operate safely all hand tools, stationary and portable power tools Determine best locations for seams and traffic areas not otherwise specified Attend to the job schedule without compromising safety or quality Follow all written paperwork Consult with customer and/or project manager on questions, or matters not explicitly specified Job requirements Required to provide high quality work regardless of circumstance Work well with others in a team atmosphere Read and understand blueprints, construction plans, and other specifications Perform floor installations daily Organize tasks to meet deadlines Establish rapport with customer Observe equipment and procedural safety Identify and correct hazardous situations A valid driver's license Appearance and conduct that reflects the professionalism and standards of Precision Floors & Decor Physical demands Physical work as in bending over and getting up/ down Heavy lifting Working on hands and knees (The best knee protection is provided) Pushing or pulling objects Occasionally working in dusty conditions
