Job Description

Experienced Painting & Epoxy Flooring Technician LACOSTA is seeking an experienced Epoxy Flooring and Painting Journeyman to join our team in Racine, WI. This position is based on commercial and industrial painting experience and will also include basic industrial epoxy floor coating work. We are hiring immediately. Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.

Monday•Friday 1st
Shift:
6:00 AM•2:30 PM Overtime eligibility
Pay Rate:
Paid Weekly, every Friday! $26•30 per hour, depending on experience Requirements /
Experience:
Painting and surface preparation experience (required) Commercial / industrial painting experience (preferred) Knowledge of epoxy and urethane floor coating systems (preferred) Ability to operate floor grinding and surface prep equipment (preferred) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred; training available if needed) Ability to follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and plant rules Must be able to work in PPE and adapt to changing job conditions Strong communication, teamwork, and work ethic Willingness to learn, take direction, and support team goals Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
Responsibilities:
Perform assigned tasks as directed by the Department Supervisor Apply paint to walls, floors, doors, rails, and other industrial surfaces Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, priming, and sealing Protect surrounding areas using masking, plastic, and coverings Repair surfaces using caulk, putty, or other fillers Operate lifts, ladders, and access equipment as needed Apply epoxy and urethane floor coatings Operate floor grinders and surface preparation equipment Maintain clean and safe work areas Follow all safety requirements and job-site regulations Work collaboratively with team members across departments Travel between job sites may be required Physical Requirements /
Work Conditions:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly Exposure to construction environments, machinery, and chemicals Occasional outdoor work and moderate noise levels Full PPE required (hard hat, steel-toe boots, vest, etc.)
