Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant/Floor Care Technician to join our team. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and safety of our facility by performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, electrical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, functional environment for residents and staff alike. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building interior systems, including plumbing, electrical equipment, HVAC systems, and facilities equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure all mechanical and electrical systems operate efficiently and safely. Utilize hand tools, schematics, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately. Assist with building interior maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and drywall repair to uphold facility standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Support plumbing system maintenance and repair efforts, ensuring all plumbing functions meet safety standards. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, or electrical equipment. Skills Hands-on experience with plumbing system maintenance and HVAC system repair. Ability to operate hand tools effectively and perform residential or manufacturing painting tasks. Knowledge of building interior maintenance practices such as carpentry and drywall repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English. Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
