Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Flooring Installation Assistant/Hand to join our dynamic flooring installation team. In this role, you will train directly under the supervisor by shadowing, observing, and assisting him with daily tasks while learning each part of the flooring process. As you learn and develop your skills, you'll step into more independent responsibilities and begin performing work on your own, becoming confident and capable in your role. Daily duties include preparing materials, handling tools, and assisting with a variety of flooring projects. Your willingness to learn and strong work ethic will help us deliver high‑quality flooring solutions for our clients. Duties Assist with the preparation and layout of flooring materials including epoxy, vinyl, hardwood, tile, and carpet installations Measure, mix, and handle epoxy materials accurately and safely Operate hand tools and power tools safely, including grinders, polishers, saws, and other industrial equipment Support the installation of flooring systems by handling materials, measuring, cutting, and fitting components accurately Follow construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise execution of projects Help with site cleanup, material handling, and maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with building safety standards Support restoration projects such as water damage restoration or floor refinishing by preparing surfaces and assisting with repairs Interpret technical drawings and schematics to assist in fixture installation, trim carpentry, or cabinetry tasks Maintain tools and equipment with care, ensuring safe and proper operation at all times Physical Requirements Ability to work on knees for extended periods of time during installation tasks Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 70 lbs safely and repeatedly Comfortable working in physically demanding environments, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for long durations Ability to operate industrial flooring equipment with caution and attention to safety Qualifications Prior construction or remodeling experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential Reliable transportation is required Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic building materials Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings is a plus Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently on construction sites Experience with flooring installation techniques such as tile laying, hardwood installation, vinyl flooring, epoxy floors, or carpet installation is advantageous Understanding of building installation safety compliance standards is important Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately Previous experience in restoration industry work or water damage restoration is beneficial Join us to be part of a team dedicated to craftsmanship and excellence! Pay:
