The ideal candidate will have a strong background in glass installation, and preferably shower door installation. This role involves working on various glass replacement projects, primarily residential wood or vinyl windows, but with some commercial installations. The Glass Installer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Install glass in windows, doors, and showers. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for removing and installing replacement glass units. Perform fabrication tasks as needed, including trimming and caulking for a finished look. Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. Conduct heavy lifting and maneuvering of glass panels safely to prevent damage or injury. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team and clients regarding project progress. Qualifications Proven experience in glass installation or related construction fields. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Familiarity with carpentry techniques including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, installing retrofit windows, and door hanging is a plus. Experience with remodeling projects is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions on construction sites. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
