Job Summary 40+ Year old family owned glass company in North Alabama--We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glazier/Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass windows, installing shower doors, Store front doors, and related fixtures across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure precise measurements, proper handling of glass materials, and seamless installation that meets safety standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your craftsmanship, and contribute to creating beautiful, functional spaces. Starting pay rate will be discussed depending on skill level !! Duties Measure and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the correct placement and dimensions of glass and fixtures. Handle glass materials safely, including cutting, fabrication, and assembly to meet project specifications. Install windows, doors, glass panels, mirrors, and related fixtures using hand tools and power tools with precision. Perform framing carpentry tasks such as metal stud framing or trim carpentry to prepare openings for installation. Conduct quality control measurements to ensure proper fit, finish, and adherence to safety standards throughout the installation process. Qualifications Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of building processes and safety protocols. Proficient with hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) used in construction and installation tasks. Experience handling glass materials safely during fabrication and installation processes. Knowledge of measurement techniques for quality control and precise fitting of Metal and glass. Ability to lift heavy materials safely while maintaining proper technique; physical stamina for long workdays on-site. Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail; excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients. Easy to work in a group setting.
