Job Overview Local Union 1940 needs local journeyman glaziers for work in Huntsville, AL . The ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience in glazing experience and be proficient with caulking and working with various glazing materials and tools. All hires will have to pass a drug screening and FBI background check .

. The work will require a strong attention to detail, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and the ability to read blueprints accurately. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing glass in commercial settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards. The total package rate for journeymen is $41.45. Responsibilities Install glass in windows, doors, and other fixtures according to specifications. Measure and cut glass to fit specific dimensions using appropriate tools. Secure glass panels using adhesives, clips, or other fastening methods. Collaborate with other construction professionals. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols. Utilize power tools effectively for cutting and shaping materials. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installations. Qualifications Proven 4 years of experience in commercial glass installation. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations. Proficient in caulking and using power tools safely and effectively. Strong skills in blueprint reading to ensure precise measurements and installations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
