Duties Measure window openings accurately using blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure proper fitment. Prepare window frames and surrounding structures by performing carpentry tasks such as frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and trim carpentry. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to install glass panes securely within window frames. Seal windows with caulking to prevent air and water leaks, ensuring energy efficiency and durability. Install fixtures, cabinets, doors, and other related components as part of remodeling or renovation projects. Conduct heavy lifting safely to move large window units or materials on construction sites. Read schematics and blueprints to follow precise installation procedures while adhering to safety standards. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, or related fields with a focus on window or glass installation. Hands-on knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques used in window installation projects. Prior construction site experience involving remodeling, carpentry, drywall finishing, or handyman work. Familiarity with schematics for fixture installation or cabinet setup within residential or commercial buildings. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation processes. Experience working with metal stud framing or metal fabrication is a plus. Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
